Effect:
A spectator chooses 5 random playing cards from a deck. The cards are mixed and one card is chosen and put back in. At no point do you ever see this card. The spectator is now thinking of one card only and you must somehow work out which one it is. There's no way you could know which one at this point, so you ask a series of questions and every time the spectator answers NO. The Spectator is lying and you must determine when they tell the truth and when they lie. Can they lie to you without you knowing? They think so...but you successfully choose the card they were thinking of.

This effect is easy and simple to do...
you'll be performing it in less than 15 mins
You can use any deck of cards and perform it without any set up. The cards can be shuffled by you or the spectator. This is totally impromptu and can be performed surrounded to any size audience.

Effect:
A spectator removes a bunch of random cards and then lays them out face down in front of you. None are of the cards are known to either of you. You make a prediction and begin to secretly write something on a piece of paper, which you then fold and place into her pocket. She then freely eliminates all the cards except one...you could not have known what that final card would be, you didn't even know what those random cards were, yet she opens the folded piece of paper in her pocket and you have successfully predicted that very card.
